Garry Rhodes makes a remarkable lunch. Try the seared red mullet with a warm, new potato, asparagus and chive salad and other British classics like English farmed organic roast beef, and chocolate and berry puddings. If you do go the light route, the lobster omelette is high on our list! We'd get our hands slapped if we didn't mention the view. Second to none - well.. none and the restaurant in St Mary's Axe. Incidentally, when booking, ask for your table to be by the bar - the views of the Gherkin are brilliant. Make friends with the sommelier - fantastic wine list, and the get to know the Maitre d'. Be sure to make this a post work favourite, the cocktails and atmosphere really matter.
